YOUTH VIDEO PRODUCTION PROGRAM
The Bout Mine I Matter (BMIM) Program was created in honor of Shameka Sawyer’s late brother, who was lost to gun violence in 2020. Named after his clothing line, Bout Mine I Matter, the program empowers teens impacted by gun violence to share their stories through filmmaking. Open to youth ages 13-19 in the 19138 & 19144 zip codes, BMIM provides hands-on training in storytelling, cinematography, and film production. In addition to learning industry skills, participants receive paid opportunities and access to free behavioral health workshops, using film as a tool for healing and advocacy.
YOUTH VIDEO PRODUCTION PROGRAM
The Germantown Amplified Project is a community-driven initiative that provides teens with hands-on video production training while supporting local small businesses. Through this program, youth participants gain real-world filmmaking experience by producing professional-quality promotional videos for neighborhood entrepreneurs. By merging storytelling with economic empowerment, Germantown Amplified helps young creatives develop industry skills while amplifying the voices of small business owners in their community.
