The premiere opened with the introduction of the filmmakers: Shameka Sawyer, Karamell Jones, Chris McClean, Chris Rivers, and Etderick Bettie. Shameka’s film #GRWM told the story of Jess, a social media influencer, who was being tormented by an unknown entity in her home, only to find that she had a deep connection with the evil force.

Karamell Jones’ thriller No_Nu_Fri3nds told the tale of virtual stalkers who take the twisted turn into real-life stalkers and how badly that can end.

Chris Rivers’ Terms of Service depicted the depths someone will go through to gain social media fame, including committing the ultimate sin.

Chris McClean’s Viral delves into the world of virtual tarot card reading and how playing with the occult can lead to deadly circumstances.

Dan Whitzer’s L1ked gave a glimpse into how social media can impact relationships in a disturbing way.

The night was filled with guests dressed in their best Halloween costume or red carpet attire. In addition, attendees won raffle prizes from the IAMBrand and Black Lens Cinema. The best costume winner walked away with a $50 gift card.

Q & A host Tia Whitfield keeps the night lively by asking the filmmakers burning questions about their productions. The audience got the opportunity to learn the process and the motivations behind the films.
