Film/Video Production Workshop Series for High School Girls in Philadelphia, PA
Over the course of 4 workshops, we taught high school girls how to operate video equipment by creating short documentaries about their experiences during the COVID-19 Pandemic. Participants learned how to write a script, plan shots, set up lighting, record sound, and record scenes. This grant-funded project was sponsored by the Leeway Foundation and Independence Public Media Foundation. We hosted our workshops at Black Woman-Owned Our House Culture Center located in the Germantown section of Philadelphia, PA.
All workshops were taught by local professional Black women filmmakers.
